BYU volleyball is in a tight match with UCI, defending national champs

They won the first game and lost I believe the second.

Tight match, BYU up two to one, but leading makes a service error.

We're giving this fourth game away.

Wow, that was an amazing match.

I took the whole tribe. the kids were excited to wear their Y shirts and go to their first BYU "game." The crowd was not huge, but BYU fans were there full force, 2-1 ratio.

We lost Games 2 and 4 and UCI took us almost to the end of Game 5.

We very easily could have lost every game last night, or won them all. UCI was pretty tough. Either they should be ranked higher or we are ranked too high. UCI's win/loss record is deceiving.

Coach Patchell's parent are in my ward and his dad had invited the whole ward to come out and watch the game. He gave everyone tickets, etc..He was really sweating it. He is a high priest in his late 60s. I dont think I have ever seen a high priest yell and scream like that. At one point, he waved a small towel and pumped his fist.

Should be another great match tonight.

CSTV gametracker was off and had UCI winning. Cougarboard all thought we lost. Deseret News even had an article about how BYU couldn't avoid defeat. They changed it this morning.

UCI story.
