What's going on with CougarGuard?

I am amazed with some of the recent posts on CG: calling someone a "silver-tongued servant of Satan", blatant personal attacks, questioning someone's faith and predicting that they will be the downfall of the church. Holy cow, what's going on? If I want this type of juvenile name-calling and over-reaction to political and religous posts, I can just go back to CB.

Come on, people. Lighten up. One of the things I have enjoyed about CG is that we have been able to explore a wider variety of thought and opinion without the bitter, judgemental, and overly emotional responses. We can do better.

Duly noted.

We should all be nice.

No baiting and no taking the bait.

Agreed. This is why I left the other board.

Just to support hoya here - keeping in mind that I sometimes only scan over some of the longer political posts - my impression is that he's often unfairly criticized - some of the complaints about him, I just don't see in his posts.

Not that my opinion means anything, but that's just my observation.

I'll admit that I can be rather harsh and am wrong to do so. I'd like to apologize and call a truce.

Fair enough, as you're more middle of the road than he is, so you tend to be more impartial.

That's the problem with growth. During the first six months of this site, we could probably count the total number of attacks on one hand.

True dat. I cant believe more people havent called out Archea for going crazy. I thought this place was supposed to be cooler than cb. it seems to be a lot like it so far.

Relax archea. HC has some crazy ideas, but you should be able to argue with him without sounding like a psycho.

El Guapo 07-03-2006 11:07 PM

And one other thing- this site needs some more sports posts. It seems like everyone only posts on religion and politicis.

RockyBalboa 07-03-2006 11:57 PM

My apologies. I'll refrain from responding to Hoya's baiting and keep things civil.
