Mullah in Utah legisl. offended by Church lobbyists, leaves Church
 

This was a year ago, but apparently Carl Wimmer was upset with coercive tactics of Church lobbyists over the immigration and LGBT protections bills, and won't do anything about abortion legislation.

He's now found the true Jesus and is an evangelical Christian.

there's nothing there that is surprising, that we didn't know already. We know that the church pushes on a few bills now and then.

What would be notable is if someone was punished in a religious way for going against the LDS lobbyists. Apparently that doesn't happen.

So he left the church and went to the evangelicals because the LDS church isn't sufficiently anti-gay, anti-immigrant and anti-abortion?
