Baseball sucks

My dislike for baseball runs deep, and I do not wish to explain all the reasons for this hatred today.

However, I'll post one reason here and allow others to add if they want. Maybe I'll work on more later.

Reason 1

Intentional walking.

Seriously, what other sport allows teams to take their best opponent player out of the game entirely? It's like being able to foul Kobe every time down the court, and then letting him shoot one free throw every third foul. Since great batters only get up to the plate maybe 4 times a game, I feel this comparison is valid.

Lame.

Johnny--so much hate, so little time. What is a man to do?

Baseball is a game which one needs watch in real life to truly appreciate it....

Besides professional football, which can be very boring live, baseball is by far the best in seat spectator sport......

Nothing beats the feeling of walking around Fenway, or Wrigley, nestling in your seat with a hot dog and cold beverage, and soaking in the sun on a hot summers day...

I'm not going to argue that the venue is excellent. I've been to a few Salt Lake Stingers\Buzz\whatever games and had a good time. But as you said, that good time is not entirely because of the sport itself.

Maybe I should have said that baseball is a crappy sport to watch on TV.

Baseball, sans playoffs, is a difficult game to watch on tv, it just isn't the same game live....

Basketball at home can be great...

Football as home can be great...

This thread makes you a one cow poster (I know you have heard derivatives of that joke a thousand times)... Baseball is great to see live and on TV. On hot summer day when you get done with some yard work/gardening you go plop on the couch and catch a cubs game and relax. Then there is the post season and NOTHING compares to the post season.

Hockey is the best sport live.

Too bad it cost $300 for nosebleed seats

I don't have the time to lay out a strong response right now, but I will say you're wrong. Baseball is about strategy, history, and grace. It is the thinking man's sport. What was the length of the temple of Solomon? 90 feet. The height? Pretty close to 60 feet 6 inches.

The width of the football field, the basketball court or the ice? Who knows?! Who cares?!

Again, short on time. Sorry.
