Damon Wayans Tries to Trademark 'N' Word

"Trademark examiner Kelly Boulton rejected the registration dated Dec. 22, citing a law that prohibits marks that are "immoral or scandalous." A previous attempt by Wayans was turned down on identical grounds six months earlier." Maybe I am a little off base here, but isn't it weird that if D. Wayans uses the term it is only a little off center; but if I (or any other white person) use the term we are ostracized and labeled racist. I will be the first to admit that I am confused with the double standards of today's political correctness environment. |
Grapevine will be disapointed he didn't think of trademarking this first.
