Flash mob in church

We need to get about 20 CGers together and do a flash mob in some random ward:

I'll be the guy with an upside down copy of Sunstone magazine.

Everybody would just think I was asleep . . .again.

Flash mobs are cool.

By all means keep telling me about flash mobs. Since you clearly know what you're talking about, you'll tell me all about their roots in the French Situationists.

Hipsters have never been cool.

Yes, those nerds in your clip were paying homage to the french situationalists.

The clip you posted wasnt even a good flash mob. It was actually pretty awful.

Go find better examples.

Start with the one in Grand Central Station. That seems to be a good one for beginners.

We all roll our eyes when you're in hipster mode. You're telling me to go look up more about something on which I could school you all day long.

Well, you've got confidence, I guess.

In a ward flash mob, you could be the guy with deacon tie and teacher pants, looking surly as you hand a program to people entering the chapel.

School me in what? French situationalism?

Do you follow flash mobbing? My guess is no.

The clip you provided wasnt even a flash mob. Most of the participants were there before the observers, they have some guy standing right by them filming, none of the observers do anything. What was the message? Were they protesting something?

Please, school me.

good one. a big LOL.

i have an idea. why dont we all hang out in the chapel and freeze BEFORE people even get there. We can have someone videotape it. Also, lets make sure that there are 3 or 4 participants to every 1 observer. As long as there is no overall message, it should be a wild success. It is always super funny to sit in a room and just stand still for a few minutes. Very impactful!

Do I follow flash mobbing? Yes. Have I been discussing it for almost a decade? Yes. Have I even corresponded with Howard Rheingold, author of "Smart Mobs: The Next Social Revolution? Yes.

Exhibit "A" of why hipsters aren't liked.

You are so in my wheel house on this.
