The alleged Mtn deal has a very "so what"

feel to it, it seems, among the fans.

I think my point of view, shared by many others, is sinking in. Just because you are on satellite, doesn't mean that anyone watches you. What percent of DTV subscribers have the sports pack?

The deal is still a disaster. Just less of a disaster than when it didn't have a satellite deal.

I agree. The only way it works is, 1. the channel is picked up in the 200 range just like the big 10 channel and 2. The conference can parley this into a game of the week on CBS at a 10 am start time. If these don't happen, I will be glad I can watch the games but this does nothing for the visibility and growth of the conference.

I look at it two ways.

1. I'm selfish and I want to watch every game. I'm very happy in that regard, and since nobody nationally watches most BYU games anyway, I'm OK with the MTN for some stuff. Nobody watched the BYU at CSU BB game 10 years ago on Blue and White sports network and picked up by channel 30 in Utah except for me and a few others.

2. The games that used to be on ESPN or regional ABC, it's very unfortunate we don't ever have a chance at that kind of exposure. I'm upset about that no matter what they do with the MTN.

Sorry, but Regional ABC < national satellite coverage on the MTN

Pony up rich boy. You're really establish your high-roller cred if you had DTV and cable.

It is more an issue of our local homeowner association. They do not allow satellite dishes.

But to maintain my high roller cred, I am willing to hire you for a year or so to come down here and set up my new HD-DVR.

Homeowner associations cannot prohibit the installation of a mini dish or tv antenna.

Now get a dish and start building up that high-roller cred!

Let me guess: Western States Homeowners Association? Headed by Bobbie Dooley?

I'll take that job. If you give me room and board, I won't even need to be paid.
