So I was discussing with my spouse how I was impressed with the progression of certain cyclists in town, how some had progressed up the ranks.

Her response was typical and disarming.

A: "I'm not impressed, it means all they do is ride."

Me: "What's wrong with that?"

A: "You're a turd and a prima donna athlete."

Me: "Is that a good thing?"

A: "Not exactly."

I think I'm making some headway.
