This is the 300,000th post. The software is saying it is actually the 307,443rd post. I guess that means that we have some 7,443 posts that have been deleted or are otherwise uncounted. Perhaps I should make some of those hidden posts reappear. LOL.

In some ways this site is like Afghanistan. The locals aren't sure what the future is.

Well, I can assure you of one thing. I will never join the others.

And to tell you the truth, I quite like the quieter atmosphere.

The counter on the front page is now below 300,000.

Maybe we should explore who it was exactly that felt compelled to delete their posts (I am assuming that this is the reason).

I seem to recall that there was a lengthy thread filled with photos that was supposedly deleted by accident.

it has to be recent deletions, because we were well past 300,000 some time ago.
