Affectation of Culture

Much of our recorded history deals with events or culture.

For me, culture means much more than concerts, wine tasters and ascots, but showering got me thinking about affectation.

Now as a caveat, my experience surrounds the sixties, when fancy dress was ridiculed and ugliness revered, so my subconsciousness is definitely affected.

However, what responses do the most of you have to those "cultured" individuals who put on airs to be cultured?

Why do you believe concert goers have a tendency to be affected?
