I'm thinking of building a greenhouse
 

in the little space behind my garage (my garden area is currently there). I looked at costco and there are some for about $1,000. Anybody ever done this?

I say go for it. I know a guy who has one that grows all kinds of orchids in his. You could also grow vegetables year round which is cool.

I agree with Mike. The ability to grow vegetables year round is a good thing. And growing your own annuals for your yard would be a cool thing too.

No, but that is the kind of thing I, and particularly my wife, would like to do. Let us know how it goes if you go for it.
