Wow. For a school that prides itself as a basketball powerhouse....they are a joke. And they just hired an idiot, so it's going to be at least 3 more years of crap for them.

My sports life is so pathetic that I am feigning glee at the Utes sucking.

well there are only about 3 people left to troll on this site, and ute4ever is one of them.

For the record, I was rooting for Utah when they almost won the national championship.

But I'm also loving their mediocrity now. To the extent that I check scores every few games. I wouldn't actually bother watching a game. Not that they are on TV anyway.

Let's review which teams Utah has lost to:

Boise State (blowout, 21)
Montana State (respectable, lost by 6)
Harvard (blowout, by almost 30. AT HOME!!)
Massachusetts (lost handily)
Univ. of North Carolina - Asheville (blowout by 20+)
Fresno State (blowout by 30)

I have two front row tickets to tomorrow's game. I don't really get into hoops, so this will be my first since the 2005 NCAA tournament games in Tucson. Utah's opponent is ranked 222nd in the Sagarin, with the 305th most difficult schedule, while Utah is way down at 311th, albeit with the 29th hardest schedule. Should I plan on leaving at halftime?

Rose's teams don't often lose to teams if his team is better overall. Again, it would be an embarrassment of monumental proportions to lose to Utah, but I wouldn't bet in favor of it happening.

Hmm, Harvard is 7-0 and ranked 14th in the Sagarin? I wonder if that's a record for an Ivy League school. I should have picked that game. I bet Bill Gates and the Winklevi were there, handing out free software and legal advice.
