Odds on BYU going Indy in the next 5 years?
I'd put it at at least 75 to 1.
I don't know why this gets so much discussion. I dig the Mountain West. |

Great programs dont dig the Mtn west recruiting base that much, a few exceptions notwithstanding. Neither should we. That being said, I completely agree that this BYU going Indy talk is nonsense. |
Staying in the MWC is a death trap.

Probably not that high. It's all theoretical. There's no one right now in the chain that would do anything dramatic.
BOT--too conservative BYU prez--wouldn't do anything that hurts the U AD--castrated six years ago BYU FB coach--thinks MWC is tough conference With the current leadership I'd say it was 20:1 or higher. That could change with a change in the BYU prez or AD. |
As one of the rare few...

I don't buy Cougar fan's frustration with our lack of national exposure, hurting recruiting, blah, blah, blah. Yes it sucks, that you can't see half the games, when you otherwise could have by purchasing Game Plan, but we've got as much national exposure now as we ever had for your casual channel flipper. Again, we'll be on national TV 6 times this year. And without ESPN full court, BYU basketball had 2-3 national broadcasts a year. We'll have about that many this year, plus a whole lot more if the deal ever gets done. The TV deal may be hurting your fandom, but it's not hurting recruiting. That argument is BS. If, and it's a big if, we can get the mtn. on satellite, it will be WAY better than what we used to have. I'm loving it right now, recognizing a huge chunk of MWC fans are getting the shaft. |

Let me clarify, I love having the mtn. I don't love that MWC fans are getting the shaft. Well, okay, maybe Ute fans. |
