stop whining and take the bus.

(I can say this sort of thing, because Fish and I go back to Deseret Towers).

Fish 04-24-2006 04:29 AM

heh... back when you would take girls on dates to the dollar movies riding that 12-speed bike. wait, wasn't it a 6-speed since some of the gears were broken?

MikeWaters 04-24-2006 12:54 PM

what dates?

livecoug 04-25-2006 05:15 PM

i wish i could take the bus..I value time more than a little savings, i guess... 10 mins to drive to work, 1.5 hours on the bus to work

Why not walk? A 10 minute drive probably equates to about 2 miles?

I bet you could almost walk to work as fast as you drive, park and walk in.

livecoug 04-25-2006 05:29 PM

it's about 6 miles.. besides once summer hits here in the 'field, nobody wants to be outside

What are you complaining about? Nothing but yellow where you live on that map.

Here in Northern California, we have to drive about 3 hours before we even get a sniff of gas less than $3.00 per gallon.

Of course, it may be worth the trip, as that way we wouldn't have to pump our own gas in the beautiful state of southern Oregon.

I'm sure it all balances out, though.

I mean, sure, the gas is more expensive in California, but people also tend to drive more economical vehicles there. Here in Utah, yes, the price is cheaper, but when you're driving a penis truck at 12 miles/gallon, it'll end up costing you more per mile than in California.

I'm sticking with my IS 300 for now. I spend about $45 a week in gas these days, and I can totally deal with that.

You totally can?

Good for you....
