Ty Detmer demoted, probably leaves
 

if new coordinator cannot convince him to stay.

Offense was horrific and not all Ty's fault, but something had to be done. Sad day for a legend.

I'm seriously in mourning.

I'm sad about this. I said earlier in the season that if Detmer were fired, I would be done with Sitake.

And I am.

I will not be rooting for a Sitake-led BYU. More and more I'm convinced the guy is hopeless.

It's one thing if the team is failing. It's another thing if you are completely clueless why the team is failing. And I think that's the position he is in. He doesn't know how to fix this.

I've said all season one reason to support Sitake is that we have no one to replace him. And that's probably still true. We would probably end up hiring someone even worse.

With the church doubling down on the LGBT issue, BYU athletics is sunk. And it could be in time that the entire university gets sunk because of this issue. Time will tell.
