Interesting read.

I agree with the writer that there is no way Mrs. Clinton would be the VP on an Obama ticket - or any other ticket for that matter.

I also agree that Obama wouldn't be dumb enough to be Mrs. Clinton's VP. That would be political suicide, as she would throw him under the bus every chance she could.

The only think I would disagree with the writer - and it's not really a disagreement, but more of an amendment to make his comment more true - would be that yes, it is possible that the recession could continue if McCain is elected - first, the economy just happens despite who is in office and I mock his being so sure it would continue - but the economy would get worse and worse if either Mrs. Clinton or Obama is elected. What they are proposing is socialism - yes, Cali, despite your objection, it is socialism - is much too expensive because government mandated business decisions never work. (Just ask the former Soviet Union).

Thanks for that link, Barbara. It brought a smile to my face.

You must know that by your definition all major politicians in the US are socialists. With the possible exception of Ron Paul. If he counts as major.

I will concede that - because of education and other services; however, no fiscal conservatives are nearly as socialist as fiscal liberals.

I don't think Obama wants the US to become the Soviet Union.

supporting universal health care doesn't make one a socialist

That's just one of his ideas.

I'm not saying that he wants the US to be the Soviet Union, but used that as an example of what happens to a country when the government has too much control over everything.

I read somewhere that he used to sketch the hammer and sickle on his grade school notebooks.
