Never keep a coach around for an extra year after you told him you won't renew his contract the following year. Boy, has Holmgren mailed it in. Paul Allen should show hin the door now.

Word is that Holmgren had thought about sitting out a year or two and coming back to coach the 49ers...it'll be interesting to see if that happens sooner rather than later.

I like the hiring of Singletary. Then again, I liked the hiring of Nolan at the time. It'll be interesting seeing how this unfolds.
