The treatment of Bush

Interesting article. Though I've been disappointed in 43, the behavior of his opponents doesn't inspire confidence.

This is true.

I was probably properly castigated last night for using creekster's sobriquet of Obama as Barry, his school boy name, but I reminded the Left that nobody ever shows the same respect to the Middle or Right. In Bush's case he's from the Middle Left, but who's to bicker. Gentility only flows one direction from the Left.

I was listening to Diane Rehm this morning, and the last caller she took was a truck driver who called to complain that he was filling up his truck this morning and heard someone at the gas station make disparaging remarks about Obama. He was outraged that instead of falling in line to support their President, some people were saying negative things about him.

I said last night that I'm going to give Obama the benefit of the doubt and my support when I can. The hypocrisy on the left is going to make that harder and harder to do.

The best I can do is to be silent, because I don't respect his politics. And persons in politics, all of them should be considered with disdain.

It is doubtful the Left will ever accord the same dignity to the Right.

If you could choose four more years of Bush/Cheney instead of the next four with Obama/Biden, would you do it?

he's no Bush fan, but I'd bet money he'd do it in a heartbeat.

Bush and Cheney are scary. Way too authoritarian. When you add in Ashcroft, Gonzalez, Rove, and Rumsfeld, I am truly suprised we haven't had every single right taken away. These men are truly enemies of our Republic. They should be investigated for treason. Gonzalez tried to do away with habeas corpus for God's sake. The Patriot Act needs to be repealed and the Department of Homeland Security (our version of the Gestapo) dismantled.

LOL. Best hyperbole of the day, by far. Nice work, BlueHair.

Care to explain to me why habeas corpus isn't important or why the Patriot Act is a good thing? A central police force is good? I find it interesting that none of those things worry you, but gay marriage does.
