Dilemmas, do I favor the average family fare
 

Inkheart, which rated mediocre, or the bloody, gothic fare of Underworld, the Rise of the Lycans, which for its genre has a better rating?

Hmm, sacrifice for the good of the many, or ....

I don't know about the film (though the inclusion of Brendan Fraser can't be a good thing), but it's a great book.
