the NBA is getting smarter. Players worse than Nevill used to go in the lottery. Remember Luc Longley, Big Country Reeves, Felton Spencer?

But those guys actually played in the NBA. Luc Longley has a championship ring. Felton Spencer had some good years with the Jazz, too. Big Country was a joke, IIRC.

The NBA was extremely weak at the 5 position those years. There were maybe 3 or 4 good centers in the entire league during Longley's era. Who is to say Nevill will never play in the NBA? I don't think Longley was very good and I can't see Nevill being any worse if he were on a team that needed a center.

longley is better than nevill due to superior athleticism (i.e. defense).

No one is going to want Nevill for his defense.
