Nice thing to consider on a backpacking trip.

Group I am going with, two have been on this 19mi hike before, so not so urgent. Plus we will have a party of 3 waiting for us.

But what if one of us has a serious medical condition? The phone would be nice.

That's actually a good idea. If the folks in Oregon had had a satellite phone, the outcome may have been much happier.

Don't get me started on Mike in high school. I have known him for 16 1/2 years now. I first met him playing basketball up at the church. One word... funk!
