I Am Soooo Lucky!
So my BYU license plates expired 12/06. My check engine light was on when I went to get the emissions and insepection done. They reset my light and tell me to drive 50 miles and they'll run the test again. Over 2000 miles and over 4 months later, I take it back to the shop and I get it passed yesterday. On my way to work this morning the check engine light turns on. That was lucky moment number 1.
The next lucky moment comes later in the day. I go to the DMV get registered (the lady made it so I don't have to renew until april of 2008... did I just get 4 months free?) and decide I'll put on my stickers when I get home. So I'm driving back to work and I don't exactly stop at the red light while making a right turn. Of course there is a cop that is right behind me as I make the turn. He pulls me over and lets me know I didn't stop real well at the light and then asks me about my expired plates. I showed him the new stickers and registration. As he's looking them over he asks "you just got this done today?" I tell him yes and he smiles and says, "well, you need to put the stickers on and i'll just give you a warning on the failed stop"
HOW LUCKY AM I?!!?!
