Your SIL should be proud, that's an amazing result for a first marathon. I routinely get my butt kicked by ladies, and it doesn't bother me a bit. There's a girl that runs on the parkway I run on every Saturday, and she passes me at about the same place every week.
I figure every 2-3 hour run I will get passed by 2-3 people, and I'll pass 20-25. That's good enough for me.
