You are missing an understanding of, or a least a means to detect, several rhetorical devices including sarcasm, hyperbole, irony, etc.
This is completely understandable because English is not your first language and American culture is not your culture. I know how to speak Thai in that I have a rudimentary vocabulary and I understand the grammar; however, I would have an extremely difficult time understanding everything written on a Thai message board.
Many of the posts on this board are written in a sarcastic manner. There are also post that are considered
"tongue in cheek". Even native American English speakers have a difficult time understanding things written on this board.
