They are singling him out because 1) he is a prick and 2) he is close to beating the most important record in the books, and 3) he is a prick.

Right. And before the drugs he was a 32 hr/yr. guy. My heart goes out to Griffey. As a skinny kid in his mid-twenties he was hitting 50+ homers a year and doing wonders in center field. Everyone was saying he was the greatest in the game, far eclipsing Bonds, who was older. Then Griffey got hurt over and over again, and Bonds started doping. Life aint fair. Maybe it is. Maybe Bonds is just starting to get his karma that he made for himself.
