An homage to Norman Bates in the early 80s, for no compelling or timely reason, accompanied by a lengthy narrative vocal strikes me as bizarre.

"Hey, lets write a song about Norman Bates with repetitive lyrics. At the end, we can have someone narrate about why Norman became Norman."

I am looking for stuff that isnt just ironic or terrible. Actually, of my top 5, I really love 3 of them...Kung Fu, Porcupine, and Occupants. The entire concept of the song has to be bizarre. Also, it has to stand alone in its bizarre-ness. For example, the Snoopy song is amazing, but mostly because of the video. If listened to without video, it sounds like most of the other British Invasion pop from the 60s...catchy, fun etc... With the video, that song gets launched into the stratosphere of strangeness.

Keep the ideas flowing, though. I like em.
Ride my see saw is not bizarre with the strange narrative at the start? As far as equity of quality it is equally as good as any in your top 5.
