If someone finds themselves in a situation where they think they are doing the bidding of others and fulfilling their expectations, it does take some nuts to say, "wait a minute, this isn't for me".
Back in the 60's you couldn't go home. I remember a friend of mine and I planned to meet up (phone) in a month after hitting the mission field and if we felt the same way, we were headed home via Viet Nam. Yep, the option to go in the Army was better than heading home.
I am greatful I got answers to my prayers and stayed.
However, if some young man doesn't get those answers, who am I to judge him and call him a quitter.
