The US economy has had like 10 recessions since WWII. The longest of these lasted about a year and a half. There have only been two recessions in the last 25 years - both only lasting about seven months.
Why not let the business cycle take its course? Sometimes it's necessary to let the excess brush burn off, so the forest can grow again.
I'm not saying fiscal policy and oversight don't have their place, but every market correction doesn't need a six point plan by the federal government.
