I know I'm not gangsta, no where near the level that Pac or 50 was. And sure, maybe Pac started th East Coast West Coast thing to make more money, but it certainly worked.
Pac was the MAN Though, there is no way you can not have him listed as one of the top MCs ever. And Pac was a scrappy little SOB.
