My wife and I figured out we average about 700 to 750 miles per month. She complained she only road 150 last week while training for her marathon. I have buddies doing 500 per week but can't find the time to do that.

On my long trainer rides, (I have a CompuTrainer) I'm lucky to average 175 watts per hour. I can ramp it up to over 600 to 700 for a couple of milliseconds.

One bad thing about miles, you must constantly purchase new chains and new cassettes. I replace the cassette once per year and the chains three times per year. My climbing cassettes I don't replace quite as often but they get expensive.

The really expensive cassettes are the conversions to an 11/27 Dura Ace.
did u ever get the power tap?
