I used to go deer hunting to the Book and Roan Cliffs near Green River, Utah. It's a remarkably beautiful place. It's also full of oil shale/tar sands, as is the Uinta Basin.

And the BLM wants to reduce the royalties the american people would be paid by the oil companies. And yet we can't extend the tax credits for the solar power industry. It makes me sick.

Perhaps this more than any other reason will drive me to Obama. The Republicans are on the losing side of history with its policies toward the environment. I hope the party shrivels and dies because of it.
