The biggest difference in feeling will come from the wheelset. ROtating mass tends to give one the biggest changes in a feeling of lightness and speed. So the more weight you save in your wheels the more difference you will feel in the bike. Otherwside, I suspect you will feel the bike is faster, but it probably won't be a life changing experience. OTOH, if you are riding a lot and climbing a fair amount, 6 pounds is quite a bit of difference.

How much will it cost you to save the weight?
