It's not a question if I do it currently, and I do golf once every two years, but whether I ever started it.

The lists of activities I've started but then were cut short when she who must be obeys objected are endless.

In general rock climbing, you have these horrible torture shoes, which are three sizes too tight.

Rappelling uses about the same shoe but some difference can be found depending upon whether one has free climbing shoes, gravity climbing shoes, what I call crevasse climbing, and a few other things.

Activities which I've been disqualified doing after I was discovered:

Rock climbing,
Sky diving,
tennis (I just whack it back, bastards with top spin are my enemies),
golf is allowable,
cutting (although I'm glad I don't have to do that),
deep scuba,
car racing,
ultralights (scary, my friend was killed doing that so I kinda ditched that),
Xtreme skiing (copter skiing),

ones too boring,
squash,
racketball,
handball,
croquet,

ones which sound fun but no time

fencing,
gliding (feiji)
judo,

so everytime I find a new pasttime, I'm informed it might not be appropriate for somebody with kids. Unfortunately, by that time I already have some gear.

Anybody else have this problem?
