This post has taken an interesting turn since I last visited (and by interesting, I am totally discounting Tex's contributions, which are not).
It would be interesting to visit BYU campus, for example, and see what kinds of responsed you would get to a question like "what are your aspirations in life." I'm guessing you would get family-related answers from both sexes, but you better believe you wouldn't get much else from the women. Men would be FAR more likely to have other aspirations to throw in.
I don't think this issue is unique to LDS culture, but I bet it's stronger there than elsewhere.
Wait, I thought we were talking about sex here?
