It isn't a new school of thought. It was around at the time the tea party was thrown and has existed ever since. That is, in part, why so many of the Founding Fathers believed the original tea party to be criminal and unethical. That and the destruction of private property and the chicanery of blaming the Indians.

The question wasn't whether taxes were reasonable or not. It was a matter of having a voice in setting the level of taxation.
