BYU is very, very clear that they don't believe in academic freedom. So you self-select for people who either hue exactly to BYU's politics, or don't care about freedom and just keep their mouths shut.

Democrats are clearly the majority in the political science, anthropology, and history departments, and the law school. They reflect nothing of the student body and administration.
