Poll results like this aren't surprising. The general electorate does not follow politics closely. As a result, the people that do the best in these polls are the ones that have the greatest name recognition (Hillary and Giuliani).
I personally doubt Hillary gets the nomination (and insiders have indicated she may be deciding against a run in 2008 in favor of working to become Senate Minority Leader and running for president in 2012).
No way Giuliani gets the nomination. He isn't close to being conservative enough, and his personal life is a disgrace.
In fact, my money for the Democrats would be among Warner, Richardson, Vilsack and Edwards (my favorite being Warner). With Republicans, Romney, Pataki, and Allen (if he wins in Virginia in November) would be my guesses (Romney being my favorite).
