Thug label is attachable based on actions and dress. If the NBAers want to dress like drug dealers, I'll call them gangstas. If they want to act like the Admiral or Grant Hill, they'll be treated as the gentlemen they have become.
Bill Lambier was a thug on the court and he was disliked because of it. Ainge received plenty of negative comments as well. Even though Tree Rollins bit Ainge, who got the blame? Was that as a result of race?
