the passes weren't laterals..
they were passes behind the line of scrimmage, like screens to receivers and running backs. That speaks volumes about the inability of BYU's defensive team in regard to tackling.
What little of the game I saw showed that the basic fundamentals of tackling need to be taught; however, these players should already know it. It's taught in little league.
