You know if you are doing So. Cal, San Diego is way more relaxed than the big ugly (LA). Excellent beaches. Maybe the wild animal park. A day trip down to Ensenada/Rosarita. Maybe catch a donkey show in TJ.
I think San Diego is one of the finest cities for a short visit in the US.
