He weaves literature, theater, and sometimes art into his talks. He's obviously well read.
He doesn't wade into controversial topics and hasn't been dogmatic about his doctrinal ideas. At times he seems to deliberately say things in a way that leaves them open to interpretation.
I've heard that he's very businesslike in his manner, but that can be good too.
It's good to see that in the last year or two he's lost a few pounds. Stop giving him cookies and pies! Frances, don't let him have that second helping!

I can always listen to Monson, knowing the man has served people well. I also pray people stop feeding him too well. Perhaps we can find him a good trainer to keep him around for another thirty years. When we lose GBH and Monson, we'll become even more corporate. The personality of the Church is changing but we're losing the personalities of the Church.
