Who besides yourself in order to knock down a strawman, has acclaimed the BoM on its literary merit?

The only argument is that, JS, as uneducated, seemed ill-equipped to pen even a modest attempt at a literary work. You should be acquainted with the difficulties of binding together a piece of literature, despite your lofty education.

Imagine how a second grader could bring together, even copying from the Bible, something which had enough of a story to capture the imagination of a couple of million persons. Whether you're willing to admit it or not, that's not something to be dismissed so easily.

No, the BoM is no literary masterpiece, but yes it is amazing, even something as ordinary as what was produced took place in so short a time and to a degree successful enough to be revered by a number of persons. Does it stand as a witness that JS didn't or did do it? No, but the work still stands out and will be remembered longer than anything you or I write.
