The only problem is, the teams you list below as impediments to the Jazz's success....none of them mortgaged it all for a one-time chance. they all won multiple times over the years and were annually in the playoffs, more often than not going further than the Jazz.
The difference is not that they played inferior team ball. It is that they had clutch players that took over when needed....on a consistent basis. Hence, my original observation.
