yeah, that's why if you are a cyclist you need to assume the worst.

A lot of times these paths have kids on them as well. And they are completely unpredictable. It's just sad that this led to a death, because most of the time, it would be scrapes, and at worst a broken bone.

We had a case here in Dallas of two cyclists colliding head-on leading to the death of one of them. They were going around the street that is used as a crit course. Except one of them was riding the opposite way as usual.

Anyone that cycles has thought of the possibility of dying as a result. Not many of us have thought about what it would mean to kill someone.
