I have never been in a ward where this is done. Yet in the Aaronic Priesthood manual, it is the 4th lesson of the year, the importance of doing this.
I understand that it is traditional in places like Utah with high densities of Mormons. But it feels more like Utah-centric Mormonism that ignores the realities of "the mission field" (a stupid phrase).
I ignored the lesson and didn't give it.
