But I will not unite behind bad policy. I will forever be the loyal opposition, loyally speaking out for the unrepresented, the disenfranchised.
It is folly IMHO to unite behind bad policy. Sometimes there is nothing one can do, but to unite behind it, makes no sense.
An example, in a war or battle, one must fight with fellow comrades to defeat a recognizable enemy. But in a battle of words, what benefit is it to unite behind words you don't believe. Should you as a Mormon unite behind a declaration that the Pope is God's spokesman on earth?
