Rocky and Dave had negotiated the terms of the agreement two years ago but nothing was put in writing because Dave had no idea if the team was still going to be in Utah.

Fast forward 2 years, the budget for the soccer complex (one that is partly funded by SLC tax payer money, no TRT tax, this is property tax) doubled while the size of the project was cut in half.

Dave sent the letter to Rocky to remind him what was discussed earlier and that they want to make sure before 7.5 million is donated/invested/given that they work out the kinks of this ballooning budget.

Rocky goes to the press and whines, the press (the kings of missinformation) again run with one sided stories. Dave has the press conference calling out Rocky for his lies, and calls out the press for not reporting all the facts.

He then gives the 7.5 million, no strings attached (as an FU to Rocky) meaning now this complex will no longer become the RSL/Real Madrid complex it was going to be. Dave no longer has to build that academy in SLC.

I side with Dave, the proof backs him up. I also try to make it a point never to side with Rocky (Anderson, not Balboa).
