Goodbye to BYU's seniors:

Kyle Collinsworth - triple double record holder. An unusual combination of height, strength and athleticism (if not not quickness and explosion), and handles. This was his season to lead the team and the team couldn't make it to the dance. Kyle will probably get an invite to the NBA summer league. It would be great if he could make a roster, but the chances are very, very small.

Chase Fischer - he was always going to be limited by his lack of size and athleticism. In some games, he seemed comically unathletic compared to the competition. But the really worked on his game and became quite the weapon as a shooter. He finished his BYU career having made 215 3FG in two seasons, which is third best for BYU career all-time. He had the 2nd and 3rd best seasons ever for BYU in terms of 3FGs made in a season.

Nate Austin - became known as the dirty put-on-your-hard hat big man for BYU. Was actually a more effective offensive weapon at the beginning of his tenure compared to the end. The offensive game completely abandoned him, and he was a liability on the other end. For reasons that are a mystery. Lack of confidence? Bad coaching? Mental? Failure to work on his game?

Unfortunately the final game of their career, in the most critical moments displayed their weaknesses. Collinsworth air-balled a 6 foot shot, Fischer completely lost his man and gave up a 3 pointer (arguably he was helping on the drive, but if you watch him, he completely lost position in regard to the man he was defending). And then Fischer is stuffed on a desperation three.
