Besides, one advantage the Bible has over the Book of Mormon is that we know from contemporary facts and hard archeological and linguistic and documentary evidence there were such things as Hebrews, Egyptians, Phillistines, etc., they fought one another, etc. At least we have that bare bones corroboration of the Bible's general context.

My reasoning is intended for a believing audience; one that already share a basic set of fundamental beliefs which includes the the belief that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and was brought about the way it claims it was.
Since you aren't my target audience, it overwhelms me with surprise that you took issue with it.
