He made friends there in the pre-orientation week and they're still together. (Yes, that sounds corny.) That's quite different from my experience arriving in 95. I did Honors before the mish and took some afterwards but realized it was a bunch of nerds taking classes, no real substance to it. We had one onfternoon barbeque and that's all i remember. I finally quit it after taking a History of Civ class that spent a week on Japanese papermaking techniques. I wish I had gotten the same experience as he did from it.
